Here's day 6 of my 30 for 30. I wore this to work, and then to TCBY with my handsome feller. Earlier in the day, he proposed an idea: TCBY and a budget meeting. So, off to fro-yo we went. Then we sat down with a spreadsheet, Quicken, and hammered out some guidelines and savings goals. We've tried to adhere to a budget before, but me being me, I created 8000 categories - EVERYTHING was broken down, and categorized, and really complicated, actually. He's more of a big picture guy and a fan of keeping it simple. So, we compromised and simplified, and have a lot less categories to keep track of. And of course, fro-yo has a place in our budget ;)
I love the color of the capri - so cute!
ReplyDeleteNick and I budget too...we're Dave Ramsey fans and have finally worked out a groove that doesn't include 8,000 categories (I do that too!) and doesn't take us four hours every time. {And our built-in category is Starbucks :)}
Aaah yes, we're Dave people, too! We did FPU before we got married and were able to skip a number of steps! Yeah, leave it to me to over-complicate the budget - oy! Don't you worry, Starbucks is in there, too! So glad you guys "live like no one else, so later you can live like no one else!"
DeleteI love that you guys have a budget sheet... I thought my hubby and I were the only ones! We actually have an app on our phones where we enter everything we've bought...

I've tried that, but I use Quicken on my Mac and the Quicken app for my iPhone will only work with Windows! Grrr #firstworldproblems ;)
